Viva Physio & Wellness is a private clinic and by appointment only. The aim is to make sure all patients feel welcome, safe and heard. During your first visit, we will review your medical history, discuss all forms and you may be asked to complete a diary prior to your follow up visit.  If you have had any diagnostic tests performed in the last 3 years, please bring the results with you or have your doctor's office send a copy before your first visit.

First Visit: Arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork.

The Physiotherapy initial evaluation includes a questionnaire, an assessment of your strength, flexibility, reflexes, posture and pain, specific to your diagnosis. If your visit is associated with lymphedema management, additional measurements will be recorded. If your visit is specific to bowel or bladder function, an external and/or internal pelvic assessment may also be completed during the initial or follow-up visit.

From there, all findings will be explained. Your schedule and options for treatment will be discussed. A full treatment session will occur at the next follow-up session.

For a shorter time in the waiting room, please fill out the New Patient Form and bring to your first visit.

Follow-Up Visits: Your follow-up appointments will generally be 45-50 mins in length.  For Lymphedema patients, the sessions can run into 90mins.  The frequency and duration of your appointments are based on your current rehabilitation needs which will be identified and discussed with you on your first visit.

Please Note:  If you are unable to attend an appointment please call or cancel your appointment via Acuity scheduling program (on this site) as soon as possible so that the appointment time can be available for another patient.  If you miss more than three appointments in a row without notification or if you have not been seen for more than 30 days you will be discharged from therapy and will need to get a new Doctor’s Referral to be re-evaluated. There is a fee for cancellations less than 24rs before the appointment.
